of Riverton Volleyball
H.A.W.K.S.
Heart: A Riverton Volleyball Team plays with great heart, desire, and hustle. A Riverton Volleyball Player works hard in practice and in games.
What does it look like?
- Working together
- Showing love for the game
- Dedication to the game and the team
- Showing effort in everything no matter what
- Showing enthusiasm and excitement for the game, the team, and our program
- Being honest and working as hard as you can all of the time and in every situation
Attitude: A Riverton Volleyball Team has a team first attitude and is willing to use all of their gifts together to achieve success. A Riverton Volleyball Player is dedicated to having a good attitude and firmly believes in being positive.
What does it look like?
- Having a positive attitude all of the time
- Being respectful to coaches, team members, officials, teachers, peers, administration, and other school teams
- Encouraging people to come and support our program by attending our games, and participating in our community events
- Encouraging and supporting team members
- Excepting what each team member has to offer and put it to the best use
- Excepting what each day has to offer and learning how to apply it to its best use in life
- Being honest and having the best attitude that you can all of the time and in every situation
Work:A Riverton Volleyball Team is willing to work had every day, every drill, every game, and in school to be successful. A Riverton Volleyball Player is willing to work hard to get better no matter the sacrifice.
What does it look like?
- Committed to working hard at school, at games, and during practice
- Committed to being on time and prepared for school, games, and all practices.
- Strive to be the best player and students you can be
- Work 110% at everything that you do in the game and in life
- Be honest and willing to perform all tasks asked by coaches, teachers, parents, team members, referee’s, and administrations
Knowledge: A Riverton Volleyball Player will demonstrate knowledge athletically and academically. A Riverton Volleyball Team will exhibit good choices based on knowledge in order to achieve academic and athletic excellence.
What does it look like?
- Making wise choices on and off the court
- Making healthy choices
- Being prepared and knowing the game
- Being prepared and studying in school in order to achieve academic success
- Being honest and willing to be on your best behavior
Sportsmanship: A Riverton Volleyball Team takes pride in their behavior, appearance, and their outstanding sportsmanship. Riverton Volleyball will be unselfish and will be held accountable for being a good role model to younger athletes.
What does it look like?
- Be a positive role model by making wise decisions on and off the court so people will look up to you
- Encourage all team members when they are down
- Be respectful to opponents no matter the outcomes or feelings
- Always have a positive attitude
- Take pride in the way we represent the Riverton Volleyball program
- Be honest and willing to work hard , be respectful, be enthusiastic, and be the best you can be
