Program Information
Welcome to Riverton Early Start! Our program is offered to children between the ages of 3 and 5 who live in the Riverton School District. Students must turn 3 before September 1st to be age eligible. We offer morning and afternoon classes 5 days a week. Morning classes begin at 8:15 and end at 10:45. Afternoon classes start at 11:45 and run until 2:15. Bus service is offered to students before and after school. Student placement is determined on their individual transportation needs.
We follow the district's year round calendar, giving us a 2 week break in October, a 3 week Winter Break and a 2 week Spring Break. Students also get 7-8 weeks off in the Summer.
How to Enroll
All children must go through a developmental screening before entering the program. Early Start is a state funded program with the purpose of helping children who are at academic or social risk of failure. Your child's risk factors will be assessed and rated during the screening process. Those with the most risk factors get placed first. There is no cost to families who enroll their children in Early Start.
