We are pleased to inform you that Riverton CUSD #14 will be implementing a new option available to schools
participating in the National School Lunch and School Breakfast Programs called the Community Eligibility
Provision (CEP) for the 2017-2018 school year.
What does this mean for you and your children?
Great news for you and your students! All enrolled students of Riverton CUSD #14 are eligible to receive
one school breakfast and one school lunch at no charge each day of this school year. No further action is
required of you. Your child(ren) will be able to participate in these meal programs for free without having
to submit an application.
All students are still required to pay student fees (including instructional materials fee, PE uniform, driver
education, CACC) unless the household qualifies under federal guidelines for free lunches. If you receive a letter
that your student is directly certified by the state, you do not need to take any further action. If you do not
receive the direct certification letter, please fill out and return the included Application for Waiver of School Fees.
We have compiled and included a list of questions related to the CEP program. Please read this carefully. If you
have any further questions, please contact Michael Gum at 217-629-6009.
